Miss last night's super blue moon? See stunning pictures
On August 30th, skywatchers all across the world were treated to the appearance of the Super Blue Moon, one of the year's largest and brightest moons.
In 14 years, this evening at approximately 7:10 p.m. EDT (2310 GMT), the Aquarius constellation, home to the final Super Blue Moon,
will rise over the horizon in the east. The sun finally went down at about 06:46 EDT (10:46 GMT) on Thursday, August 31.
Either the third full moon of a season with four full moons, or the second of two full moons that fall in a calendar month, is known as a "Blue Moon,"
the latest full moon. It was also a "supermoon," the popular name for a full moon that occurs while our natural satellite is closer to Earth,
making it appear just slightly larger and brighter in the sky, as was the case with the full moon that occurred on August 1.
"I had planned the moonrise shot in advance with the help of a photo planning app, but the weather forecast was uncertain,
he said. Mukherjee wrote to Space.com to share his findings. "The weather did turn out to be a bit hazy with scattered clouds,"
'The Victor' ('Pobednik' in Serbian) monument in Belgrade, Serbia, is framed by the rare Blue Moon in the photograph below.
On August 30, 2023, in Tianjin, China, the Super Blue Moon rises behind the 'Tianjin Eye' Ferris wheel and is a sight to behold.
