McDonald's fans rarely get to try a new burger option, but today was one of those rare occasions. The Chipotle BBQ Quarter Pounder, a sweet and
smokey new McDonald's burger, will appeal to barbecue and McDonald's customers alike.
One huge catch to this new burger premiere. The Chipotle BBQ Quarter Pounder is only available in Canada, so McDonald's lovers in the US,
Europe, and elsewhere can't have it until they visit. McDonald's consumers outside Canada can hope the limited debut will promote a bigger rollout.
The new sandwich has a Canadian quarter-pound beef patty, sweet and spicy chipotle BBQ sauce, hickory-smoked bacon strips, crispy onions,
pickles, and two slices of cheddar cheese on a toasted sesame bun. McDonald's Canada offers a Double Chipotle BBQ Quarter Pounder with
all the same ingredients and an extra quarter-pound beef patty for carnivores.
The Fast Food Post reports that the burger will only be available at select Canadian outlets for a limited period, so interested customers better act quickly.
Though McDonald's was created and is based in America, it has launched some of its most popular and unique menu items abroad.
In the summer of 2022, McDonald's tested the unusual sandwich in Miami, Fla., with a small sample of American consumers.
